Maurex Limited Director, Mr. Maurice Odhiambo, has reaffirmed the company's commitment to inclusive development and community empowerment as the firm continues the installation of machinery at the Apegei quarry site in Teso South Constituency. Speaking during a site visit by the area Member of Parliament, Hon. Mary Emaase Otucho, Mr. Odhiambo emphasized that the project is designed not only to boost local construction and infrastructure but also to create meaningful opportunities for the local population. The visit by Hon. Mary Emaase Otucho marked a key milestone in the project’s development. Accompanied by Mr. Patrick Lumumba, the quarry mechanical Engineer, Mr. James Omuke, Constituency Manager and other local leaders, Hon. Emaase applauded Maurex and stakeholders for the initiative, noting that the quarry project aligns with her broader vision of grassroots development and youth empowerment. The quarry mechanical Engineer Mr. Patrick Lumumba who has a vast experience in installing stone crushing, batching and asphalt plants and has also worked in various countries like Tanzania, Uganda and Sudan highlighted that the installation phase is progressing on schedule, with key equipment already onsite. Residents of Apegei and surrounding areas have also welcomed the development with optimism, expressing hope for improved livelihoods, business growth, and infrastructure development. The Apegei quarry, once fully operational, is projected to serve as a major supplier of construction materials within Busia County and neighboring regions with ripple effects expected across transportation, retail, and service industries.

Maurex Limited hosted Arch. Bishop Okude of Katakwa Diocese at our site to dedicate a newly acquired excavator. Bishop was also accompanied by Rev. Patrick Juma of Budokomi parish, Rev. Capt. Erick Wamalwa of A.C.K Oriasi Parish, Rev. Ben Oriama of A.C.K Amagoro and other guests.
Bishop was welcomed by our Director Mr. Maurice Odhiambo and Company advisor Mr. William Adera.

We were privileged to host Bishop John Okude of ACK Katakwa Diocese to our site on 29th November 2023. The Bishop came to check on the civil works progress and do us a prayer at the site. The Bishop was accompanied by other church leaders together with church members.
Kenya Development Corporation chairman Hon. John Sakwa Bunyasi visited our site on 3rd January 2024 to check on the construction progress of the site. Mr. Bunyasi was also accompanied by Johnrich Ekasiba who was representing Hon. Mary Emaase.
